Legalization Center offers a service of documents certification by Apostille in Ukraine. In various countries documents are certified by Apostille by different government facilities or notaries. In Ukraine Apostille is issued by three ministries: the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ministry, competent to issue Apostille, is defined by the type of document.
In order to estimate the capability of document certification by Apostille and clarify the value and date of the service provision, a client needs to send photocopies of documents (to be certified by Apostille) to our e-mail, accompanied by a comment in arbitrary form, for example:
“This document needs to be certified by Apostille in Ukraine. What is the price and date of service provision?”
Having received a request from a client, a relevant officer from the Legalization Center will estimate the capability of documents certification by Apostille first, then he will identify the Ministry, competent to issue the Apostille, calculate the value and date of the service provision, upon which he will answer the client’s request, providing the necessary information.
Some documents are not subject to certification by Apostille in Ukraine due to mechanical damage, lamination, obsolete form, absence of authorized signatures of public officials or seals in the Ministry.
Apostille in Ukraine is issued for originals or notarized copies of documents as well as notarized translations.
1. Original documents.
Academic certificates, police clearance certificates, residency registration certificates, health certificates, if they are attested by a seal of regional department of health.
2. Notarized copies of documents.
Practically any notarized copy of document may be certified by Apostille, if the document was issued by a government body of Ukraine. However, notarized copy of academic certificate may not be certified by Apostille.
3. Notarized translations.
Notarized translation in Ukraine consists of original document with attached translation into foreign language, signed by translator-preparer and signed and sealed by a notary. In this procedure of document preparation a translator-preparer sets his/her hand on the translation, thus certifying its faithfulness, and a notary certifies the authenticity of the translator’s signature. A notary verifies the translator’s qualification prior to certify his/her signature.
Many clients decide to simplify the task of documents legalization in Ukraine and set a task to our officers to attach a notarized translation to the original document and certify the translation by Apostille. But this procedure of documents preparation in Ukraine does not work, since if there is no Apostille on original or notarized copy of original document, the notarized translation is not subject to apostilization either.
