If a person has no records of criminal conviction, the Certificate will specify their absence. If a person was convicted, the Certificate of conviction in Russia would specify the conviction or convictions together with numbers of Articles of the Criminal Code of Russia.
Statistics.
According to information from the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia, 2,580,476 crimes were committed in 2017. The third part of crimes was committed by citizens, which had been convicted earlier. Every sixth crime was committed under the influence of alcoholic drinks and/or drugs. The greatest number of crimes were registered against property - 1,161.2 thousands.

There is no precise information as to the number of Russian citizens, having a criminal record.
If a client was convicted, the International Legalization Centre may not facilitate in preparation a Police clearance certificate in Russia without specifying the criminal record. All variants of expungement and cancellation of a criminal record in Russia are listed in Article 86 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
